Lets Begin
Making sure the character you use in this class is correct for the job is one of the main steps to victory. You’ll need to look at your own personal strengths and make sure that they are a good fit with the skills of a hunter. Although the name tends to conjure up images of tracking down and shooting animals, the hunter class is much more than that. It can be tricky playing this class as the hunter has definite  strengths and weaknesses.

Ranged warfare are where the hunters talents lie, including using bows, guns and crossbow. Using these means the hunter is very good at dispatching their enemies. Their tracking abilities  are very strong and they are also very good at surviving. Much of the damage taken from an attack can be taken by a pet in this class, giving more time for play. The most problematic for the hunter class is Melee fighting, as the hunter is unarmored until level 40. Click here for more: Hunter Guide WoW

Now that you are aware of the hunters abilities, you can now plan your attack. Victory can be achieved by remaining far from danger. For a hunter it is important to arm yourself with a pet, they enable you to melee fight and absorb any damage. The pet can be fighting whilst you plan you attack and cause damage from a distance.

Choosing a job for your hunter
A profession needs to be chosen that blends well with the hunters skills, now that you have chosen to play this class. The best professions to choose are skinning and leatherworking as this will allow you to make your own armor. However, another great combination is mining and skinning since this will allow you to make enough money to quickly purchase additional armor and weapons. There are professions that the hunter is not suited to, these include tailoring, enchanting and alchemy.

The other classes may find these professions incredibly useful, where as the hunter gains no benefit. One profession that can be of some use is herbalism, this allows you to concoct your own potions for healing. This is very helpful until you can get a pet to help  you with melee fighting.

The Weapons
Previously mentioned was the fact that the hunters skills are in ranged warfare. You may just want to focus on crossbows and bows, unless you develop the skill to use guns as well. The first bow you get is basic, however as you progress from level to level you develop you skills and are able to upgrade as you become more accurate. As quests are completed you can get more ranged weapons. For more information on our Best Hunter Pet follow the link.
