Why Must I Get Reason 5.0 Music Making Software?
Reason 5.0 is a computer program designed for making music that was created by a Swedish software company named Propellerhead Software. The program offers the ability to work with synthesizers, samplers, mixers, sequencers, and signal processors to name a just a few things.
Reason is basically a complete music studio but all inside your computer. Practically speaking it loses none of the functionality of a real life studio and is enough to create professional sounding music out of the box. As a stand-alone product it’s already enough for the normal sized project, but if you want you can also combine it other audio software using Rewire.
It all started back in 2000 with the release of Reason 1.0. The number one element which caught everyone’s attention was the virtual studio rack, where you could insert your choice of effects and virtual instruments. This studio rack looked exactly like the real thing, complete with wobbling cables at the backside!
Ever since that powerful debut, there have been four more versions, the latest being Reason 5.0 which was released late 2010. Of course, Reason 5.0 is overflowing with new features, such as the Kong Drum Designer, Dr. Octo Rex, Neptune Pitch Adjuster, and so much more! All these features come with cool sounding names too.
Customizable features in Reason 5.0 make it a most unique and personalized experience. No two Reason racks will look the same for different people. The virtual environment changes depending on who you are and what your personality is. And of course, everyone will have their preferred settings when it comes to the reverb, distortion, chorus effect, etc.
The only criticism against Reason 5.0 is its inability to record audio. I guess the guys at Propellerhead are still stubborn in that way. You can still get around it though. Another sign of the priorities of the Propellerhead people is that Reason 5.0 still doesn’t support third party plug-ins, making Reason 5.0 very self-contained and one of the most stable music softwares out there.
For its price I guess it’s one of the best buys, so long as you can swallow some of its quirks, like the lack of audio sampling support and third party plug-ins. If you can, then Reason 5.0 will definitely count as all you need to create the music of your dreams.
If ever you’ve made the choise to unlock your music making creativity, then go ahead and try Reason 5.0 on your own. Or read another article by me right here.
