Communion: Mental thriller with Walken well cast as author Whitley Strieber, who finds himself visited by odd beings. Does he need a psychiatrist or an exorcist? A tad long in the tooth and the dramatic scenes between Walken and spouse Crouse don’t really work. The movie still has some good moments. Cast includes Christopher Walken, Lindsay Crouse, Frances Sternhagen, Andreas Katsulas, Terri Hanauer, Joel Carlson, and Basil Hoffman. (107 minutes, 1977)

Shooter: Retired Marine Corp Sniper Bob Lee Swagger is asked to come to Washington, to help track another sniper that will try to kill the President. What happens to him next is a total shock. The same US government people that he is helping are actually setting him up to take the fall for the assassination. He somehow escapes when he is shot, and is now on the run. He is also ready to fight back.

Marie Antoinette: Fable on life of famed 18th-century French monarch has remarkable Morgan in title role although requires point of view and scope. Cast includes Michele Morgan, Richard Todd, and Jean Morel. (105 minutes, 1955)

Cry Uncle: Secluded investigator gets engaged with kill, sex and blackmail in spoof of controversial taste; regularly humorous, nonetheless. Cast includes Allen Garfield, Madeleine De La Roux, Devin Goldenberg, David Kirk, Sean Walsh, and Nancy Salmon. (87 minutes, 1971)

The Light That Failed: This is a fine cast of a Kipling melodrama of London actor Colman going blind, decided to finish photograph of Lupino, whose florid Cockney behavior robs film. Cast includes Ronald Colman, Walter Huston, Ida Lupino, Dudley Digges, Muriel Angelus, Fay Helm, and Francis McDonald. (97 minutes, 1939)

Jack the Bear: Occasionally influencing, although mainly messed comedy-tirade in regards to the spiritual deciphering of Ii widowed Television terror-film host whose neighbor is a pro-Nazi psycho who poses a threat to youngsters. Movie is kept on course some of the time by Steinmiller’s outstanding behavior as DeVito’s older child age twelve. Cast includes Danny DeVito, Robert J. Steinmiller, Miko Hughes, Gary Sinise, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Reese Witherspoon. (98 minutes, 1993)

Lovers: Aristocrat Mastroianni has a fictional spouse; an organ grinder persuades prostitute Mori to “impersonate” her. While it’s not stupid, it’s unexciting. Cast includes Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Mori, Lino Morelli, Plant life Carabella, and Adriano Celentano. (93 minutes, 1976)

Lunatics A Love Tale: Raimi is a pleasant paranoid, restricted by his doubts to his desolate L.A. condo. Foreman is convinced that she causes everyone she cares for to die. Strange lowbudget comedy has genuine, if off beat, charm. Cast includes Theodore Raimi, Deborah Foreman, Bruce Campbell, Brian McCree, Eddie Rosmaya, and Michele Stacey. (87 minutes, 1992)

For Love Alone: Pleasantly filmed romantic tirade, set in the 1930s, with Australian university scholar Buday falling in love with her professor Knitting; even albeit he treats her badly, she follows him to England. Neill does well as a completely variant gentleman who enters her life. Movie is based on the novel by Christina Stead. Cast includes Helen Buday, Sam Neill, Hugo Knitting, Hugh Keays-Byme, and Naonti Watts. (102 minutes, 1986)
