The HTC Mozart Reviewed
The new Windows Phone 7 Smartphone platform is something that many people have been eagerly awaiting. Many different phone companies partnered with Microsoft in order to create phones for the new system. HTC is one of the companies that has helped the most. While HTC has designed and manufactured many different phones for the new Windows 7 platform, the Mozart has proven to be its crowning achievement. Simply take a close look at the Mozart to see that it is a gem among stones.
You simply have to take a look at the phone to start seeing the benefits. The first thing that you will notice is that it features a single piece aluminum casing. This makes the phone a bit sturdier than others on the market. The processor is a 1 GHz and runs on the now common place snapdragon chipset. The screen has 3.7″ of viewing area and it stores up to 8 GB. This is a decent amount of data.
The camera is another great feature of this phone. It takes pictures up to 8 megapixels and has done away with the standard LCD flash. Instead it has a xenon flash that offers a stronger flash of light when taking pictures. Keep in mind that the phone takes great pictures but not quite the quality you would get from a similar camera. This is partially because the phone software automatically adjusts everything. ISO, sharpness, EV and other options are not manually adjustable.
The phone itself is comfortably to hold and use. One thing that you should note is that the camera lens is embedded in the phone to offer protection, but this causes it to catch a lot of lint when in your pocket. It comes with several proprietary apps that enhance your usage of the phone. These work great, but Windows has yet to provide the versatility offered by the android market. We expect this to change as the phone grows in popularity.
The Mozart, by design is one of the best smart phones on the market. It’s designed to stand up to everyday wear and looks great. Expect the various HTC apps to run great as well as the Windows 7 operating system. The phone benefits from intensive design that does not skimp on the details. The only issue we have with the phone is that it lacks the variety of apps that make other platforms great. Expect this to change as popularity grows.
