My Wonderful GPS Discovery
Have you ever been lost while on an important driving trip? It’s one thing to get lost when you’re not in a hurry or anything, but when you are late for a meeting, or a job interview, it can be particular troublesome. That’s happened to me quite a few times. And I’m not somebody that can easily ask for directions from others. I have this ego problem, that I always need to figure things out for myself. That’s why when I get lost, it can turn into a disaster.
My first great idea was to take a map reading and compass skills course at a local adult education center. I was really excited at first, and I thought I could really get some great ideas on how to keep from getting lost. But this particular set of skills wasn’t really useful in places like Texas. You always need some kind of a mountain or something to pick as a reference point so you can triangulate. I didn’t think this would work for me, so I decided to try something else. I was pretty disappointed, as I thought this would solve all my embarrassing problems.
My friend suggested I get one of those divining rods that people use to find water underground. At first it didn’t make sense, then I had an idea. If you could get some magic stick to show you where the water is, you could probably train it somehow to show you how to get to where you want to go. That way you wouldn’t have to ask anybody for directions, and you could use it anywhere, even at night time. You could probably even use it in strange restaurants to find where the bathroom was. I bought one, and tried it, but no luck. It didn’t even find water.
Finally I realized they have these things called GPS navigation systems. These are little machines that somehow communicate with satellites up in outer space or something. They can tell you exactly where you are at all times. They come pre-programmed with maps and all kinds of shops and everything. So you can get a lot of information.
Here’s an example. I was driving through Texas last week, and I was really thirsty. I asked my device to help me find a convenience store so I could buy something to drink. Within three seconds, it had a course all planned out for me, and delivered me exactly to the parking spot right in front of the store.
If you have never thought about getting one of these devices, you should seriously consider it. I could be a life saver someday.
With this nextar gps navigation system you’ll never get lost again. So why not get a nextar gps navigation system today?
