Ever since Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone it has been one of the world’s primary modes of communication. First came the corded, table-top, dial telephones, a concept already foreign to today’s generation. Push-button telephones were the next exciting innovation, giving users the option of pulse or tone dialing. Nearing closer to what we’re familiar with today, cordless phones and speaker phones were next to cause a stir in the markets. Ultimately, voice communication technology produced the cell phone, smart phones, and a range of other handheld devices.
